Last weekend, I had the pleasure of speaking at the Swiss Bitcoin Conference in Kreuzlingen, part of the Nerd Academy initiative. Alongside Bastian Feder from Lipa, I presented our approach to using the Lightning Network for “Plebs” – enthusiastic Bitcoin users keen on integrating this advanced technology into their daily lives.
We discussed the fundamentals of the Lightning Network, including the mechanics of micropayments and the importance of Layer 2 solutions for enhancing Bitcoin’s scalability. A major focus of our presentation was the significance of operating independent nodes, and we provided practical guidance on setting up and managing one’s own Lightning Node.
During our one-hour session, we dove deep into the technical underpinnings and practical applications of the Lightning Network. The Q&A that followed was especially enriching, allowing us to directly engage with audience questions and spark further discussions.
This first experience as a lecturer in the realm of Lightning was incredibly fulfilling for me personally and has only intensified my passion for sharing knowledge. I look forward to future opportunities to share insights with like-minded individuals and to further promote the adoption of Bitcoin Lightning.
Overall, it was a successful debut, and I am eager to see what the future holds. Until next time!
